Picked over hundreds of other fine pieces of fine Native American jewelry, this set was chosen in juried competition. The exquisite bolo features a super rare large and exquisite Mediterranean coral encircled with a long hand chiseled bezel created from gleaming solid 14 Karat gold. The cabochon is set on a bolo face cast from tufa stone on to a large shadowbox created through the use of ebony. A deeply stamped border is separated by large 14 karat gold droplets. To the top on a small gold plate sits a sky blue natural Morenci turquoise for accent against the large domed coral. This bolo sits on a hand made cord of the finest quality. Sleek hand made tips accented with gold finishes the piece. The matching bracelet is just as impressive. Large hand cut gem grade natural cabochons are inlaid along its entirety. The lapidary work on the cabochons is extraordinary, the work of a master at the top of his game. The rectangular cabochons are predominately oxblood corals with the lighter competing in contrast with the dark. Jaspers and turquoise serve as accents. Deep stamping creates the border. Fine 14 karat gold accents highlights the beauty of the lapidary work to perfection. This set ranks with the finest created by Edison Cummings.
