I believe Garcia graced the cover of Guitar Player Magazine Four ( 4 ) times in his 30-Year Rock & Roll Career ( 1971 - 1978 - 1988 - 1995 ) - and, at least for me ... I'd have to say I'm most drawn to the inside content of this July '88 Issue - simply because Garcia & the Dead were getting so Incredibly-Hot ! again ' Live ' & also in the Studio ! ... and they were delivering a Huge !! national & international resurgence - with the " Top 10 " on the Pop-Charts ' Hit ' of " Touch Of Grey " from their 1987 Studio Album - ' In The Dark ' !
I mean all of a sudden there was a Massive ! wave of Dead
head Popularity out there for the Good Ol' Grateful Dead ... and they were Riding it Strong !  As in fact, just following this issue ... the Grateful Dead delivered Two ( 2 ) of their All-Time Best ! Touring-Years Ever !! in both 1989 !! & 1990 !  I mean Fans ... just think back to the Amazing ! stuff that happened on the '89 Spring - Summer & Fall Tours !!! - and on Spring & Summer '90 too !!  Red-Hot G.D.! ... playing-hard with a Gusto ! of Live Rock & Roll Passion !!

close to Very Good
/Like New.  There is some light surface and page wear & light
indentations from light use & reference wear.  For the most part, and for years
- this Magazine has been Collected-Only & has been stored inside of protective plastic.  This Issue is in very-solid condition all across the board, and is " Collector worthy " at least in my own personal opinion - as this was indeed the one I chose to Collect myself.  And to

... there is no
front cover mailing label either, which is often viewed as a big plus + to some Fans, and especially when it's Garcia ! gracing the Front-Cover ! -

The " July 1988 Soundpage " Record is included with this issue - still attached inside.  It is still attached inside ( between pages 50 & 51 ) - however, this thin record has surface wear ( medium indentations / light scratches / light-medium surface wear ) ... and upon visible inspection, it does not appear that it will play properly - with perfection, like one in Like New ( Mint ) condition would.  If it is this Record that you are seeking for playing, versus this Magazine for reading pleasure ... I might recommend finding one in Like New ( Mint ) condition, with a Like New ( Mint ) Record inside.  Photos available upon request.  Thanks !
