" is actually 30-Years Old ! at this point in Time ! ... & Space !!  This is a Awesomely-Informative !!! issue for certain - and is one of the Rarer Late-1980's Editions.  As " The Golden Road " was published all the way until 1993 - founded in 1984.  And My-Goodness ! Fans - What an Issue !!  I mean even though it features the happenings of G.D. Events Three-Decades ago ... you still ! can't help but getting Excited ! & Smiling !! while reading this !  I mean this was-indeed such an important & vital-time in the 30-Year Touring Timeline of The Grateful Dead !!!  Garcia was way-past the point of " getting his chops & voice back " after the '86 near-death coma experience ... and this is just about the 1-year after point in time after the Grateful Dead ' In The Dark ' ... & " Touch Of Grey " Resurgence - and Phenomenon !!  And ... what makes this Summer '88 Golden Road Issue ( # 17 ) especially-unique ... is without any-question - the Amazing ! Eleven-Page ( 11-Page ! ) in-depth Article / Interview with Grateful Dead Manager ... Jon McIntire !!!  McIntire managed the Band during the arguably most-interesting time ever - from a sheer standpoint of Grateful Dead " Growth " - as their Late-'80's post " Touch of Grey " Era was most-definitely catching like Wildfire ! in the U.S. Music Industry.  A time when Album Sales ( mostly cassette tapes & vinyl records ) & top-grossing Live Tours were finding the Grateful Dead at an All-Time Peak !  And, this is just such an Awesomely-Informative ! article - with McIntire being as well-spoken - and both business & people savvy as he was ... he takes such a neat reflection back here at the road of past - the present - and also the hopeful future to come ... for what would be the Late '80's ! & soon to be 1990's !! for the Good Ol' Grateful Dead !!!  Some Grate ! photos of the Band in inside ( Bobby Weir !! ) - from the modern-day, and also from Historic years past !  And too ... there's even an article on " The Joys Of Hall Dancing " ... Wow ! - as these my fellow Dead Fans ... were indeed " The-Daze " !  Ha !  '88 Spring Tour Set lists are also included ... from Atlanta 1 to Laguna Seca !!  Some fine shots of Garcia, Weir & the rest of the Boys ! too - for sure ...  Some Seriously-Grate ! stuff in this Issue - for certain ... an Issue that I always remember as being one of most-informative issues - from a true long-term G.D. Insider's perspective ( with McIntire ! ) of " The Golden Road " Series ... with a Cool-Cover too !  And ... just to think - that this-here '88 Excitement was truly the leading-up-to period of the Magnificent ! '89-'90 Grateful Dead Era !  Which, many Fans do collectively feel was the Last-True " Prime " of the Grateful Dead.  They sure don't mak'em them like This ! anymore - over 50-Pages of G.D. Vital-Info & Bliss ! ... and, all in just one Issue - Issue # 17 ! - the " Summer 1988 " Edition !!! ... Enjoy !!!!!

This Golden Road Magazine ( Issue 17 / 1988 Summer ) is in Good condition - fairly close to Good/Very Good overall.  Cover is in Good condition, with medium to heavy signs of use/wear (surface wear, numerous indentations, corner creasing, etc.), and all inside pages are in Good/Very Good condition - with light signs of use/wear, and the only main issue being some creasing of pages (see photos/close-up photo #12).  No tearing, writing, missing pages, or anything serious damage-wise - just some Good Ol' light to medium wear from reading, storage & natural aging over the years.  Please see all photos provided.  Photos included are of the actual item you will receive.  The Golden Road ! - 1988 Summer ! / Issue 17 Edition !! -- Featuring an Awesomely-Informative !
