    Description

    SBC Used Roller Cam Gaerte Racing Engines. The camshaft specs are considered proprietary by Gearte, I have their spec sheet that has Installation and tuning info, but nothing else.
    The cam is in good condition,  the motor never had any previous failures that would result in  debris marks or dings from previous failures, there is no roller tracking over the nose of the lobes, my observation didn't find any fracture or spalling anywhere on any of the lobes.  The dist helix looks good and smooth as new.
    Basically these cams were used in the SBC 430 inch Circle Track Late Model engines
    Camshaft number is EX-1
    Camshaft lobe base circle is .865
    Lobe centerline is 104
    Recommending the following valve lash for all aluminum motor  Cold  .005 int .014
    If cam is used in an iron block, aluminum head  motor,  ADD .008 to the all aluminum specs cold specs
    If cam is used on an iron block, and iron head motor, ADD .011 to the all aluminum specs
    Valve lash specs are never set in stone, most builder / tuners routinely will end up with settings straying  up to .005, or more, either way from manufacturer suggestions.
